Georgios obtained his dental degree in Thessaloniki, Greece in 2011. He moved to Finland to study as an undergraduate at the University of Oulu and the University of Umea in Sweden where he realised he had a keen interest in Periodontics. After completing his PhD he moved back to Greece where he trained as a Periodontist obtaining his Master of Clinical Dentistry with Specialist in Periodontics and Implantology.

In 2019 he was awarded a Fellowship from Osteology Foundation to work for the Department of Periodontology at Cumlutense University of Madrid, Spain. In 2020 he won a second Fellowship from the International Team of Implantology and moved to Graz, Austria to work for the Department of Oral Surgery and Orthodontics at the Medical University of Graz as a Clinical Tutor and Research Associate.

In 2020 Georgios moved to the UK where he took up positions in private practices in the south of England practicing Periodontics and Dental Implantology.

His research intersts pertain to evidence-based medicine in dentistry, periodontitis and systemic diseases, dental implantology and peri-implantitis. He has ben recruited by several organisations such as the Osteology Foundation, the European Federation of Periodontology and the European Association for Osseointegration to work for systematic reviews associated with consensus workshops.

Since 2012 his work in research methods for Periodontics and Dental Implantology has been published in international peer-reviewed Journals.
