Endodontics

Endodontic treatment is also known as root canal treatment

It is a way of saving teeth that may be damaged by fracture, infection or tooth decay.

Endodontic treatment is also known as root canal treatment and it is a way of saving teeth that may be damaged by fracture, infection or tooth decay.

The procedure involves gently removing diseased pulp and infection from the root with specialist instruments and a dental microscope. The root canal is then shaped and sealed to prevent further re-infection. Once the root filling has been completed you will be advised on what restoration is recommended to protect the tooth from fracture. This will restore the tooth to its full function.

Without endodontic treatment the only other alternative is to have an infected tooth removed, leaving an unsightly gap.

Dr Tania Pagano is a fully qualified dentist with special interest in endodontics. She has over 19 years experience and completed her Masters in Endodontics at the University of Cidade in Sau Paulo, Brazil in 2004.

Endodontic treatment costs from £900 per tooth

I have been seen by Parisa and Lilly and honestly, that was the most pleasant visit I have had there.

The ladies were great and they are a real credit to Thanet House Dental!

The gentleman on the reception is always polite and today he was helping someone that got hurt outside and the compassion shown was heart-warming to see.

The whole procedure was painless. I would highly recommend Tanya.”

A Patient, November 2020

“Really impressed with the work of Dr Uchenna Obhio, I had a filling on the side of my tooth which needed to be replaced – can’t tell there’s ever been a hole there, it just looks like a natural tooth.”
